Good organization turns intentions into achievements. SIX ERP is the compass that guides us through the maze of tasks, ensuring every step is in the right direction.

Accessing Proposals in SIX ERP

  1. Navigate to Proposals: In the SIX ERP interface, locate the "Sales" section on the left side menu. Under this section, click on "Proposals" to access the Proposals interface.

  2. New Proposal: Inside the Proposals interface, you'll find the "NEW PROPOSAL" button. Clicking on this button will open the data entry screen for creating a new proposal. Alternatively use the Keyboard Shortcut CTRL - SHIFT - P to create a new Proposal from anywhere in SIX ERP.

Filling in Proposal Details

When creating a new proposal, you'll be presented with several fields to fill in, each serving a specific purpose in the proposal's structure:

Selection of Customer or Lead

Proposals can be tailored for either leads or existing customers. Depending on your selection, some fields will be auto-populated based on the chosen entity's information.

Adding Products or Services

For product-based companies, selecting products from the drop-down menu is the most straightforward method to add line items to the proposal.

Service-based companies, or instances requiring customized line item descriptions, can manually add each line item. This is especially useful for varying services or when specific descriptions are needed.

Line Item Details

Each line item requires information on the Item, Item Description, Quantity, Rate, and Tax. After filling these details, confirm the addition by clicking the checkmark on the right side of the line item entry. You can add as many line items as necessary for the proposal.

Pricing and Discounts

At the bottom of the Line Items section, you'll find an overview of the proposal's total cost. Here, adjustments can be made by applying discounts either before or after tax, depending on the requirements.

Finalizing and Sending the Proposal

After submitting or sending your proposal, you will be returned to the List / Preview Split Screen, which will allow you further customization of your newly created proposal. For working with Proposals in Split Screen Mode follow this manual.

Customizing Your Proposal

After creating a proposal, SIX ERP offers further customization options, such as:

For more advanced customization options, refer to the respective help article in SIX ERP. This comprehensive approach ensures that each proposal you create is not only professional but also perfectly aligned with your client's needs and your company's standards, facilitating a smoother sales process.

Advanced Customizability

In addition to the foundational components of creating a proposal in SIX ERP, the system offers the flexibility to include a variety of custom fields tailored to your company's specific operational needs and industry requirements. This customization capability ensures that your proposals are not only comprehensive but also highly relevant to the unique aspects of your business and the sectors you serve.

For instance, food processing companies can add custom fields to capture essential information such as the LOT number and manufacturer details of the proposed items. This is crucial in industries where traceability and compliance with food safety standards are paramount. Including such detailed information directly in the proposal ensures clarity and fosters trust with your clients by highlighting your commitment to quality and safety.

On the other hand, a company specializing in computer sales might require the inclusion of serial numbers for the proposed items. This addition is particularly important in the tech industry, where warranty, support, and software licensing issues are closely tied to specific hardware identifiers. By specifying serial numbers in proposals, companies can streamline post-sale support processes, reduce the risk of errors, and provide a higher level of service to their customers.

The ability to add these custom fields in SIX ERP not only enriches the proposal with necessary details but also enhances the overall value proposition presented to the client. It demonstrates a deep understanding of the industry's needs and showcases your company's meticulous approach to meeting those demands.

The customization of proposals through SIX ERP is designed to be intuitive, allowing for easy integration of these additional fields without compromising the proposal's clarity or aesthetics. Whether it's through predefined templates or on-the-fly adjustments, SIX ERP empowers businesses to create proposals that are both informative and aligned with the company's branding and operational standards. This level of customization fosters a more connected and responsive sales process, ultimately contributing to higher conversion rates and customer satisfaction.
